Residential Architecture

Featured Project: Canfield Lofts, Detroit

Located in the Midtown District (formally known as the Cass Corridor), north of Downtown Detroit, the Canfield Lofts adaptive reuse project injected life into one of the most problematic districts of the city. With adjacent amenities like the 30,000 student Wayne State University, The Detroit Institute of Arts, The Detroit Medical Center, and the Detroit Symphony Orchestra all within a short walk, the many city blocks around the Canfield Lofts building have been targeted by developers for residential projects. Until the development of Canfield Lofts, these projects have been historical apartment building rehabilitations into rental condominium units. Collectively, with the Canfield Loft project, the Midtown area has begun to be one of the premier places to live in Detroit.
